CVRC Members Nominated for WARF Innovator of the Year Award

CVRC members Peiman Hematti, MD (pictured at left), professor, Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care, Amish Raval, MD (pictured in middle), associate professor, Cardiovascular Medicine, Eric Schmuck, PhD (pictured at right), associate scientist, Cardiovascular Medicine have been nominated for the WARF Innovator of the Year Award!
Honors

An invention disclosure by a team of researchers has been selected by Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) as a finalist in the 2017 WARF Innovation Awards. The team includes Peiman Hematti, MD (pictured at left), professor, Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care, Amish Raval, MD (pictured in middle), associate professor, Cardiovascular Medicine, Eric Schmuck, PhD (pictured at right), associate scientist, Cardiovascular Medicine, and John Kink, PhD (not pictured), senior scientist, UW Carbone Cancer Center, who together have been nominated for the WARF Innovator of The Year Award. The disclosure was entitled, “Generation of therapeutic cells using extracellular components of target organs.” Awards will be announced in a formal ceremony on October 17, 2017 at 4:00 PM in the Town Center of the Discovery Building at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, 330 N Orchard Street, Madison.
