We welcome Dr. Farhan Raza as new Core Faculty of the Cardiovascular Research Center. Dr. Raza is a faculty member in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Medicine. He received his medical education from King Edward Medical University, Pakistan, and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Hypertension, Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant at Cornell/Columbia, NYC.
Dr. Raza’s research focuses on deep phenotyping methods of HFpEF and pulmonary hypertension, including bioengineering exercise hemodynamic analyses, cardiac MRI and Omics approach (myocardial tissue and serum). His overall goals are mechanistic phenotype driven targeted therapies to improve patient outcomes.
